The White Swan combines traditional Victorian charm and elegance with all the modern comforts and amenities guests expect.

Though built in 1858, the White Swan lacks none of the modern comforts and amenities guests expect from a hotel, combining these with traditional Victorian elegance. This impressive, four-storey stone building still retains many original features, from the open-well staircase with its decorative iron balustrades, to the Doric columns that guard the stone entrance. Upon entering, guests will immediately by struck by the large chandelier that adorns the reception area. The hotel offers 40 recently refurbished and updated guest rooms, each one with its own en-suite bathroom. They range from standard double bedrooms to executive suites. All feature satellite television, free wireless internet, tea and coffee-making facilities, a hairdryer, and a trouser press. Superior and executive rooms, meanwhile, add contemporary-style en-suites ranging from large walk-in showers to separate showers and baths. Before retiring to their rooms, guests can take advantage of the spacious, cosy lounge area, perfect for tea, coffee, or bar drinks. Each morning they can enjoy a traditional English breakfast in the dedicated ground-floor breakfast room.
