The Old Bell Hotel

Englands oldest hotel (from 1220) in Englands first capital offers quintessentially English service and hospitality. Our hotel has been looking after travellers since 1220 and today benefits from stunning, high design interior spaces and a wonderful warm ambience with antiques and quirky treasures collected from our owners travels around the globe.
Ivy and wisteria enhance the attractive stone facade of this grade I listed building whilst inside open log fires and period furniture create a historic cosy ambience.

The hotels 34 bedrooms are all individually designed and furnished. The bedrooms are spread between the Main House and the Coach House. Most of the rooms in the Main House have period features and overlook on to the front. A few rooms on the east side overlook Malmesbury Abbey and grounds. Connected to the main house is the Coach House where the bedrooms are predominantly standard rooms and overlook the car park. Six of these rooms are on the ground floor and some have interconnecting doors. All rooms throughout the hotel have ensuite bathrooms and are all equipped with a flat screen TV, Dyson hairdryers and tea and coffee facilities. Some rooms also have the addition of roll top baths, separate showers and comfy sofas. Guests can relax in the hotels cosy lounge with comfy sofas and log fires. Complimentary WiFi and car parking available on-site. The hotel is also available to hire for exclusive use if required.
We are big lovers of our four-legged friends and proud to be dog friendly. Many of our rooms are dog friendly, dogs can stay and enjoy the luxury of a fur bed and their own bowl. Enjoy wonderful walks as you step out of the hotel, your dog will have a blissful stay. Please note that there is an additional 25GBP per dog, per night.
