The 18th-century Sun Inn offers comfortable rooms and a traditional restaurant serving pub classics.
Built in 1705, the Sun Inn has a long association with the history of the town of Eastwood, from the 1832 meetings that established the Midland Railway, to the locally-renowned novelist D.H. Lawrence, who included it in his 1913 novel Sons and Lovers. With its convenient location, boasting excellent links to the M1 motorway, the hotel is perfect for exploring the Derbyshire Dales and Nottingham, as well as Eastwood itself. Behind its redbrick facade is a selection of laid-back, stylish rooms and a restaurant. Guest rooms each feature en-suite bathrooms, tea and coffee-making equipment, free wireless internet and flat-screen televisions. Breakfast is complimentary for room guests, but other tasty meals are to be found in the restaurant, which serves English pub classics and Sunday roasts.
