Raemoir House Hotel is a privately-owned Georgian country mansion itself befitting a princely retreat. As you make your way along the tree-lined drive surrounded by 10 acres of lush parkland and green lawns, you come to a magnificent Aberdeen granite manor ablaze with light in the morning sun. Inside Raemoir House, built in the early 19th century but extensively redeveloped in the Victorian 'Golden Age' of the region, you'll find 20 sumptuous en-suite bedrooms, some with stunning views of the rolling hills and antique furniture. A further six bedrooms are situated in the even older Ha' Hoose (Hall House), directly behind the manor and dating back to 1715. As the sun sets over Aberdeenshire, you are comfortably relaxing with a drink in the elegant former ballroom, before retiring to the majestic wood-paneled dining room to try Raemoir's 2 AA Rosette menu, which includes head chef Matt Dobson's specialty, rare breed Tamworth pork. Beyond the boundaries of this magnificent retreat is a region rich in beauty and heritage. Visit Bunchory, the bustling gateway to Deeside, or the Granite City itself - the lively and historic Aberdeen. Watch salmon leap for their lives at Falls of Feugh and explore the rich tapestry of Aberdeenshire's many castles. Or simply take in the natural beauty as you stroll to the fairway at the area's numerous Championship golf courses.
