Situated as it is in a national park with little farmland, the Gliffaes kitchen has access to some especially good lamb and beef, even for the already high Welsh standards, while in winter the menu includes the best of local game and traditional root vegetables. Two-thirds of the produce is sourced from within 50 miles of the hotel and fish comes only from sustainable fisheries. Description: Offer: Go to glorious Crickhowell on the Eastern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park for two or more nights accommodation and several days of fantasic walking (or cycling - the hotel has a tandem you can borrow!) In addition to dinner, bed and breakfast enjoy a complimentary packed lunch everyday or a free afternoon tea on your return. You will also be given an ordnance survey map of either the Black Mountains or the Brecon Beacons upon which cycling or walking routes can be marked for you.

Rates & Conditions: Small double room £165 for dinner, bed and breakfast per room per night. Standard double £220, large double £250 and large doubles with views of the river Usk £270 or £295. You will be upgraded if possible. Subject to availability.
